Wow!! I still can’t believe how the Eagles season finished, Super Bowl 59 Champions!!! After the Birds started the season 2-2 and Head Coach Nick Sirianni was criticized for his antics with fans and coaching decisions, the Birds blew out the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.
Looking back we realize how special the season was. On Friday, the Eagles and their fans are celebrating the Championship with a parade down Broad Street. Eagles General Manager Howie Roseman put together a team that went 14-3 during the regular season and another four wins in the playoffs to win it all.
One big reason for the team's success was the Free Agent addition of running back Saquon Barkley, drafting of two defensive backs Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, signing free agents Zack Baun and Mekhi Becton all solidified the Eagles lineup. What a Great year for the Eagles front office, Coaches and players!! Congratulations to the 2024-25 Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles!!
The Philadelphia 76ers are 20-34 at the All Star break and are in 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Sixers have lost five games in a row and desperately need the All star break to regroup and rest. Joel Embiid and Paul George have both been injured multiple times as this team has not lived up to expectations and Tyrese Maxey can’t do it all by himself.
The Flyers have been a .500 team most of the year no thanks to their rough goaltending. This year's Flyers team has the third most Goals Against in the NHL, overshadowing the electricity of Matvei Michkov's Rookie Season. General Manager Danny Briere has made some change of scenery moves that basically cleared up cap space but the Flyers are far away from being a competitive team.
Finally, the Phillies are in Clearwater and spring training starts Monday. The Phillies were eliminated by the New York Mets in the divisional round of the Playoffs last year and returned their core players for another run to the World Series.
