The Philadelphia Phillies have captivated our region and Phillies fever is running high - Everywhere you go people are wearing Phillies' Red in support of a team that has a flair for the dramatic. In Games One and Two against the Diamondbacks, the Phillies used the longball to lead them to a two games to none advantage in the best-of-seven series. With six Home Runs in the first two games, the Phillies bats fell silent with 13 Strikeouts in Game Three as the series shifted to the desert. The Phillies lost 2-1 against the home team whose atmosphere at Chase Field in Arizona pales in comparison to Citizens Bank Park. Phillies versus Diamondbacks Game Four is Friday Night at 8:07pm first pitch and you hear all the action on 973 ESPN Radio South Jersey.

The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a terrible loss against the New York Jets last Sunday. Jalen Hurts threw three interceptions (even though one of them was not his fault) and statistically was one of his worst games in over two years. A.J. Brown was the only bright spot in an otherwise lethargic effort against a Jets team that has struggled to stop the run this season. Tell that to the Jets as their defense held the Birds to 80 yards rushing on 22 attempts. Lane Johnson went down with an ankle injury early in the game and the offense wasn’t right after he left the game.

The Eagles have their work cut out for them this Sunday Night as they host the 5-1 Miami Dolphins at Lincoln Financial Field on National television. Let’s hope the Eagles get back on track against the number-one scoring offense in the NFL. The Dolphins average 37.2 points per game but they have done it against teams with a combined 9-26 record. The best way to slow down a high-powered offense is to keep them off the field. The Eagles offense needs to dominate the time of possession by … wait for it…. RUNNING The Ball!!
