Barkley Won’t Run For Record Against Giants

The Philadelphia Eagles will play their last regular season game this Sunday against the New York Giants. Since the Birds won the NFC East and have secured the second seed in the NFC playoffs, the Eagles have decided not to play most of their starters on Sunday at the Link.

Saquon Barkley is 101 yards away from breaking a 40-year-old single-season rushing record held by Eric Dickerson. There are pros and cons to the decision not to let Saquon play and try to break the record. Plus Eagles Starting Quarterback Jalen Hurts is still in the NFL concussion protocol and probably won’t play on Sunday. We will debate the issue this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim.

The Flyers and Sixers have both been on the West Coast over the holidays. Each team played four games on the left coast. The Flyers leave the West Coast going 2-2 while the Sixers achieved the same results on their trip at 2-2. Each team has one more road game before returning home. We will look at how each team is trying to get back to their winning ways.

The bowl games have been fun to watch and the final four have been decided for the College Football Playoffs. Penn State will face Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl and the Texas Longhorns will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Cotton Bowl to determine who will play for the National Championship.

On Saturday’s Show, Producer Nick Earnshaw and former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dave Klemic join me in the studio. We will discuss the decision to rest Saquon Barkley and preview the Eagles vs Giants game. Plus we will have some Flyers and Sixers talk for you.

On Sunday, Producer Danny Ryan and my identical twin brother, Bobby Schweim, will join me in the studio, so I’m sure it will be a heated discussion!! We will get you ready for the Eagles vs Giants game.
